Old Gartmore, Drymen

As families grow, so does the need for a larger living space. The common choices are to either make do with your current home or move to a bigger one. But for those bold enough to invest their passion and vision into their property, extending the existing home can be the perfect solution. Not only does it fulfill the need for extra space, but it also allows homeowners to infuse their personal style and character into the place they call home. Pursuing such a dream takes courage—and it’s a journey I genuinely enjoy being part of, helping turn that vision into reality.

Design Proposal

This project involves the thoughtful extension of an existing single-bedroom residence transforming it into a two-bedroom home, while also incorporating design elements that future-proof the property for evolving needs.

The proposed extension will sensitively integrate with the original structure, maintaining architectural coherence while enhancing functionality. A second bedroom will be added to accommodate the master bedroom, while a single bedroom will provide flexibility for guests, a home office, or other future needs. The layout is reconfigured to optimize natural light, circulation, and efficient use of space.

Overall, the design seeks to create a more spacious, versatile, and sustainable living environment that meets the current needs of the occupants while anticipating future lifestyle changes.
